Working with the Form Element Library

The form element library ('library') is a store for any of the elements that make up a form. You can save elements to the library and then later retrieve them for reuse in other forms.
The following elements can be stored and retrieved from the library:

| • | End Note |
Though you can view the library at any time, you can only add and retrieve elements from library using the form designer.
Saving an element to the library
To save an element to the library you need to select the it in the layout window. With the element selected:
From the form menubar select Text Library -> Save to Library
Or
Right click and select Save to Library
Or
Click on the save to library icon on the toolbar
.
Once the element has been saved, you will receive a confirmation message.
Opening the library
To open the library:
From the menubar select Text Library -> Copy from Library
or
Right-click on the display panel of the and then select Copy from Library
or
Click on the copy from library icon on the tool bar ![]()
or
From the application menu select forms -> Text Library.

Copying elements from the library to a form
To copy elements from the library to the current form, select the form element you want to copy. If it is a question element, then also select a question type. With your selections made, click Open. This will load the window with the elements in the library.

To copy an individual element to the form, first select it then:
Click on OK to copy it to the form
or
Right-click and from the shortcut menu select Copy to form
You will then see it in the layout panel of the form designer. When you have finished copying the elements you require, click Close.
Deleting an element from the library
To delete an element from the library, first open the library window.
With the library window open, select the form element you want to delete. If it is a question element, then also select the question type.
With your selections made:
Click on the delete button ![]()
Or
Right-click and from the shortcut menu select delete
You will be prompted to confirm your action. Once you confirm that you indeed want to delete the element, it will be deleted. You will be unable to undo this action.
Deleting elements from the library has no effect on elements you may have copied from it before.
