By default when you add a new element to the form, it gets added to the bottom of the form. By using the the relative positioning controls, you can decide on the placement of a question before you add it to the form.

You have 3 options as to where an element will be placed on a form. The default is to append the new element to the bottom of the form however you can choose to place it before another element or after it

Once you have chosen the relative position, you then select the element to be used to relatively place the new element.  You do that by clicking on the drop down list which shows all the elements in the form.

Click on the element you want to appear below or above the new element you are about to add.

Once you click Add to form, your new element will be added to the form relative to the element you selected.

Of course you can always use the default of Append and then move the element into position by first selecting it and then:

Select Modify Layout from the main menu and the select Move Up or Move Down.

or

Right click and then select Move Up or Move Down.

or

Select the move up or move down icon form the toolbar.
