Working with Introduction Text

Introduction text can be instructions on how to complete the form and how the data will be used etc. See Working with form Fonts for how to set the font for this text

 

 

Adding Introduction Text

 

To add Introduction text to your form, select Introduction Text from the drop down list of form elements.  You  will then see the following window.

 

 

 

 

Type in the text you want to show up as the introduction your form.  Once you have completed this, click on the Add to form button. This will then add the text to your form. You will then see it shown on the layout panel.

 

The introduction text icon helps you readily identify the introduction text.

 

Introduction text is static and cannot be moved up or down in the form layout. It is also completely optional.

 

 

Editing the Introduction Text

 

To edit the Introduction Text, first select the text in the layout view then:

 

 From the menu select Modify Layout -> Edit

or

 Right click and then select Edit

or

 Click on the edit icon in the toolbar

 

The following window will the open:

 

 

 

Enter your revised text and then click the OK button to finish.  You changes will be written to the form and will be visible on the layout panel.

 

 

Deleting the Introduction Text

 

If you decide not to have Introduction Text on your form, you can delete it by first selecting it and then:

 

 From the menu Modify Layout -> Delete

or

 Right click and then select Delete

or

 Click on the delete icon in the toolbar

 

You will prompted to confirm your action. Once you confirm that you indeed want to delete the Introduction Text, it will be deleted.  You will be unable to undo the delete action once it has been performed.
