All users that need access to Trellis 2011 must have their names added to the User list. To be able to add names to this list or make  any changes to it, you need to be a member of the Windows Administrator group or a member of a specifically set up Trellis Administrator group. See Managing the Trellis Administrator Group for more information.

 

 

To access the User list, from the application menu select Tools -> Manage Users...

 

This window will then open up:

 

 

 

The list box shows the names of the users that have been added as users of the Trellis system as well as their status.  The bottom part of the screen shows the number of licences that have been purchased, the number of licences that have been allocated to users and the any unused licences.

 

You are only able to activate users up to the number of licences you have available.

 

Adding a New User

 

To add a new user click on Add a New User on the top left or right click in the list box and select Add New from the shortcut menu.

 

You will then see this window:

 

 

 

Enter the data at the prompts and click on Save when you have completed the details.  The users information will be saved and you will then see the name added to the list.

 

Editing a User

 

To edit a user's information - either to change their name or set their status from Deactivated to Activated or vice-versa, first select the name you want to edit and then click on the edit button or right click and select edit from the shortcut menu.

 

You will then see this window:

 

 

Make any changes as necessary and when you are satisfied, click the Save button.  Your changes will be saved and the list updated to reflect your changes.

 

Deleting a User

 

To delete a user from the system, first select the user record and then click on the delete button or right click and select edit form the shortcut menu.

 

You will then be prompted to confirm your delete action.  Once you have confirmed the delete, the user will be deleted from the system and they will no longer be able to use Trellis.  The list will will be updated to show the name removed from the list.
