Creating a Question Block

You can create a Question Block to save to the library for later reuse or you can create it to be added to the current form you are designing.
To create the group you need to open the the Add a Rating Scale Question Block window. To access this:
From the application menu select Forms -> Rating Scale Question Blocks Library and then click Add a New Rating Scale Question Block
or
From the form designer select Text Library -> Rating Scale Question Blocks and then click Add a New Rating Scale Question Block
or
When setting up a Rating Scale Question Block question in the form designer, click on Add a Rating Scale Question Block
You will then see this window

From this window you can enter your the questions you need manually and create the block from scratch or if you have some blocks already saved in the Question Block library you can copy them in, make edits as necessary and then save the block under another name.
Creating a Question Block from scratch
To add a question block manually, enter each of the questions you want your respondents reply to at the Enter Question Text prompt. Once you have entered a question, click on the Add button. Your option will then be added to the box of options as follows:

Keep entering and adding questions until you have add the questions you require. You can enter the questions in any order you like. To set the order in which the list is shown on the form, use the Move Up and Move Down buttons.
Creating a block using the library
To use a question block from the library to create a new block, first open the library by
Selecting Question Block Library in the menu and then Open
Or
Click on the open icon in the toolbar ![]()
This window will open

Select a question block name from the left pane and you will see the questions within that block on the right side-pane. When you have chosen the block you want to work with, click OK and the questions will be added to the editor window.
With the items added to the editor window you can add or remove items or change their relative positions using the buttons on the right-hand-side of the editor.
The Buttons
The buttons on the right of the list items help you manage the questions you have added to it.
Edit
Allows you to edit the text of the options in the list box.
To edit an option, select it first and then select the Edit button. The following window will open:

Enter the new text and when you are satisfied with your entry, click on OK. The window will close and you will see your updated question in the list box.
Remove
Will remove the selected question from the list box.
To remove a question from the list box, first select it and the click on the remove button. You will be prompted to confirm the delete action. Once you confirm your action, the question will be deleted from the list. This action cannot be undone once it has been performed.
Clear All
Will remove all the questions from the list box.
To clear all the questions in the list box, click the Clear All button. You will be prompted to confirm your action. Once you have confirmed it, all options in the list box will be cleared. This action cannot be undone once it has been performed.
- Move Up
Will move the selected question text towards the top of the list.
To move a question towards the top of the list, select the question text you want to move, then click on Move Up. The option text will be moved up by one position. Continue to click on the button until you have moved the text into the required position.
- Move Down
Will move the selected question text towards the bottom of the list.
To move a question towards the bottom of the list, select the question text you want to move, then click on Move Down. The option text will be moved down by one position. Continue to click on the button until you have moved the text into the required position.
