Configure Trellis 2011 FTP Web Server Connections

To communicate with the web server to publish web forms download completed feedback, Trellis 2011 has to be configured with details on how it can connect to the web server which has Trellis Online installed.

 

From the application menu, select Web -> Manage FTP Web Server Connections

 

You will then see this window:

 

 

If you're still in the trial period, you'll see the above screen indicating that you can use marblewire.com for your web evaluations. To create a new connection, click on Add a new FTP web server connection.

 

This window will then open:

 

 

Enter the required details at the prompts as follows:

 

FTP server:                                This name of the ftp server. It will usually be prefixed with the letters ftp. e.g ftp.orgname.com

Port number:                                The default is set to 21. Change this if required

Use passive mode:                        The default setting for this is passive. We recommend you keep this setting

User name:                                This is the user name used to set up the ftp account on the web server

Password:                                This is the password used to set up the ftp account on the web server

FTP account evaluations folder:                This will be "evaluations", the folder where all evaluation forms will be uploaded.

URL to FTP account evaluations folder:        This is the fully qualified url that leads to the "evaluations" ftp folder. e.g. www.orgname.com/hr/trellisonline/evaluations

 

Once you have entered all settings, click on Test connection settings to verify that you are able to connect to the web server.

 

You will then see this window:

 

 

 

Click OK and then on the Add a New FTP Web Server Connection window, click on the Save button to save your settings. Once the data has been saved, the window will close.
