To be able to backup the database, you need to have the appropriate rights on the database server to backup a database.

 

With these rights in place, enter the SQL Server Name using the format [server name]\[database instance name] and the name of the database you want to backup at their respective prompts.

 

Choose a destination path to save the backed up database file. Once this is complete, click the Backup button and the database will be backed up to the location you have specified.

 

Once the backup is complete click on Close to dismiss the window.
