Why Trellis 2008
Trellis 2008 has been designed and developed to make it easy for organisations using paper evaluation
questionnaires to produce meaningful and actionable feedback reports without having to deal with multiple
spreadsheets.
Here are some of the benefits of putting Trellis 2008 to work for you.
Organise your training evaluation data in one place
Trellis 2008 stores all your data in a single database giving you a central place from which to
administer all your training evaluations.
The project explorer in Trellis 2008 puts all your evaluation data at your fingertips by making
it easy to find and retrieve evaluation projects and run reports.
From questionnaire design to data collection, analysis and reporting, Trellis 2008 brings all
your training evaluation data together.
Collaborate with colleagues easily and effectively
Any number of users can have concurrent access to the Trellis 2008 system allowing end users to share tasks
and view data at the same time. This makes it easy to share workloads and work more effectively.
Gain immediate access to meaningful analysis reports
Once questionnaires have been distributed and responses have been gathered up and entered, you can begin
running reports. Trellis 2008 provides immediate access to the analysis reports giving you timely meaningful
reports on your learning programs.
Reports can be filtered by question type or specific question allowing you to run reports focusing on
questions that are relevant or significant.
Trellis 2008 also allows you to output your reports as Word documents and PDF making it easy to distribute
reports by email.
Measure training performance with benchmarks
Trellis 2008 makes it easy to set benchmark scores for eligible questions in your questionnaires and
hence for your training.
By running the benchmark comparison report after your data entry is complete
you can easily gain an indication of how the training performed compared to your target.
Easily Design and modify your evaluation questionnaires
The Trellis 2008 questionnaire designer makes it easy to design evaluation questionnaires of any length
using different question types according to your requirements. The designer removes the need for you
to spend time formatting and inserting tables, making your design process efficient.
Once created questionnaires are stored centrally for everyone to access and can be output in MS Word and PDF format.
Issue multiple evaluation questionnaires for better insight
Trellis 2008 makes it easy to manage any number of questionnaires for the different stages of a training
evaluation and collect information and report on results independently.
You can add a pre, post, follow up, manager/supervisor and instructor questionnaires to an evaluation
project using questions specific to your requirements and Trellis 2008 will manage their
feedback and provide analysis reporting giving you better insight.
Easy to learn and use
The familiar Windows interface of Trellis 2008 makes creating and administering evaluation projects
an easy and intuitive experience. Its rich feature set enables users to achieve the results they want quickly and easily.
Enterprise-class database for secure and reliable data storage
Trellis 2008 uses Microsoft SQL Server for its data storage. Microsoft SQL Server is a robust
and highly available multi-user relational database engine.
This provides you with a reliable database and large data storage capacity.
Easy to install and deploy
Deploying Trellis 2008 is easy. You run the Trellis 2008 installer on as many PC’s as you require
and when Trellis 2008 starts up for the first time, it configures the database for use.
You just need to set up the users in Trellis 2008 and you’re up and running.
If you are already running Microsoft SQL Server in your organisation, Trellis 2008 can be configured to work with it.
If you are not running Microsoft SQL Server, you can download a free copy of Microsoft SQL Server 2005
Express Edition from the Microsoft Website
here.
Microsoft SQL Sever 2005 Express Edition is a scaled-down but powerful version of Microsoft SQL Server 2005.
Single sign-on Security
Trellis 2008 users connect to the system using the same security credentials they use to sign on when
they log into their PC’s.
Once a user has signed into your organisations system, they don't have to re-enter login information to access
Trellis 2008. They just need to be set up as a user in Trellis 2008 and this gives them immediate access.
This gives you control over who has access to the system as well as removing the administrative burden of setting
and resetting passwords or users having to remember another set of passwords.
